Environments at Risk – Year 11 General field work
GAWA invites you to attend PD#5: Year 11 General Geography Fieldwork.
This PD takes us down to the beautiful Dwellingup where we will explore the forest characteristics and ecology, human activity and land use impacts, and sustainable forest practices all aligned with the Year 11 General Geography Curriculum.
Date: 22nd November 2024
Time: 8:00am – 4;45pm
Venue: Forest Discovery Centre, Dwellingup
This PD Program includes:
Navigation through Year 11 General Geography (Unit 1) Syllabus by experienced classroom teachers
Year 11 General Geography resources including: pre-fieldwork & fieldwork booklet
Demonstration of example fieldwork itinerary and skills
Special guest presenter, Conservation Biologist Naomi Adamczyk
Time for teacher networking and resource sharing
Pub lunch at the Dwellingup Hotel (meal and shared jugs of soft drink included with ticket)
Bus transport to and from PD location with option of two pick up locations (or option to arrange your own transportation)
